Spain’s warm climate and diversity of coastlines attract those seeking for a calm, laid-back lifestyle. The beaches here are known to be some of the best around, attracting tourists with their picturesque views. Whether you’re looking for an active, family-friendly bay, a beach appropriate for all kinds of water sports, or a quiet spot tucked away where large crowds are unlikely to visit – Spain has it all.
Langre, Cantabria
The peaceful and tranquil beaches in Langre are some of Spain’s most stunning. Enjoy the natural and unspoiled environment in Playa de Langre, along with the waves which make it a beloved spot for surfers. From the surrounding cliffs to the golden stretch of sand beneath, this beach is a truly gorgeous one to visit.
Tamariu, Costa Brava
The beach at Tamariu is a favourite on the Costa Brava. The clear waters and quiet, idyllic environment make this beach a special one – But it is also known for being a family friendly beach where you will find surrounding cafes and restaurants suitable for a long day spent here. Despite its relaxing atmosphere, busy areas in the vicinity will provide anything you might need.
Es Trenc, Mallorca
Es Trenc is the only beach in Mallorca that hasn’t been developed, due to being part of the Es Trenc-Solobrar wetland reserve. Therefore, this beach is an unspoilt, serene one which mostly attracts those looking for a getaway and relaxing break. Others will likely come here to windsurf – But otherwise, the turquoise waters and white sands attract most visitors. You will find some lounge chairs and umbrellas available for renting, along with the occasional live music, but the beach still remains to be a peaceful one.
Es Pujols, Formentera
Another beach known for its white sands and crystal-clear waters (that we could never get enough of!) is the Playa es Pujols in Formantera. The calm sea makes this beach a good option for families with young children. However, this beach is also a good choice for those who enjoy sportive activities – From diving, kayaking or windsurfing, to cycling or hiking in the vicinity, there is something for everyone.
Praia da Rodas, Galicia
This bay is not only one of the best in Spain, but arguably in the world. You will find pristine sands, striking emerald waters and tall pine trees that form part of the rugged backdrop bound to satisfy every nature-lover. This beach will take your breath away. It is a hiker’s paradise, and additionally, a family-friendly choice.
